A resident of New Iberia, Lisa Annette Savoy Garza was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on February 10, 1957, to the late Victor and Nadine Bourgeois Savoy. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Lisa was a radiant light whose love extended far beyond her immediate family.

Family was the cornerstone of Lisa’s life. Her children and grandchildren were not just her pride and joy; they were the very essence of her being. She made each birthday a memorable occasion, bringing joy and laughter with personalized celebrations that reflected her love and thoughtfulness. The warmth of her home was often filled with laughter during cherished family gatherings.

Lisa's kindness was felt by everyone around her. She was endlessly giving, always the first to offer help or support to those in need, embodying a spirit of compassion that left an impression on many lives. Her generous nature and loving heart were qualities that defined her, making her a cherished confidante for friends and family alike.

In her moments of leisure, Lisa took great pleasure in the thrill of watching the New Orleans Saints play, her spirited cheers echoing through gatherings as she rooted passionately.

Ms. Garza is survived by her children, Natalie Garza (Steve Jeanminette), and Ramon Garza; a sister, Vicky Savoy; and grandchildren, Kyndal LeBlanc, Brennan Jeanminette, Jase Jeanminette, Kane Garza, Devin Garza, and Aaliyah Garza.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Deogene Savoy; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Bourgeois.

Pallbearers are Ramon Garza, Steve Jeanminette, Kane Garza, Devin Garza, Josh Boutte, and Bill Davis.

Honorary pallbearers are Brennan and Jase Jeanminette.

As we remember Lisa, we celebrate the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her laughter, kind spirit, and dedication to her family will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in peace.
