Lafayette - A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at One Church in Scott for Lisa MacDowell, 63, who passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at One Church in Scott on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm.

Pastor Bobby Richard will officiate the Funeral Service.

Lisa, affectionately known as "Momma Lisa", was known by everyone to be kind, sweet and full of love. She was a devoted wife, the best mother, loving grandma and someone who made people feel seen, welcomed and cared for. Lisa opened her home, cooked you a meal and made you feel like instant family. Her strength, compassion and unwavering faith touched countless lives. Whether behind the scenes or helping those in need, she faithfully served her church and positively influenced all who knew her.

Lisa was a true prayer warrior whose prayers, encouragement and steadfast faith brought comfort and hope to so many. Even through difficult times, she remained strong and continued to point others towards God with grace and love. More than anything, Lisa loved her family and she prioritized the time they spent together. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren and all the lives she impacted, all the prayers she prayed and all the love she so freely gave.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve MacDowell; son, Jered MacDowell (Christina); daughters, Nicole MacDowell and Stephanie MacDowell; grandchildren, Adelynn Moore, Kacey Moore, Tylar Moore, Breann Moore and Avery MacDowell; and brothers, Chris Bridges (Alisa), Michael Bridges (Becky) and James Cleem (Missy).

She is preceded in death by her father, Morrie Bridges; and mother, Monetia Stevens Divelbiss.

Pallbearers will be Chris Bridges, Michael Bridges, James Cleem, Micah Guidry, Derik Godeaux and Al Smith.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the ladies of her small group.
