Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 3, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church honoring the life of Loggis Sampy, Jr., 69, who passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Breaux Bridge.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Rev. George Bede - Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Christy Bruno and JoAnn Cahn.

Burial will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Loggis Sampy, Jr., who left this world on September 25, 2026. Born on November 16, 1956, in Lafayette, LA, Loggis called Breaux Bridge his home, where he lived a life filled with love and laughter.

Loggis was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Sharon Perry, and his family meant everything to him. He was known for his infectious spirit and generous heart.

A hardworking cement finisher, Loggis was recognized across the construction industry for his meticulous attention to detail. His dedication to his craft earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond work, he found joy in simple pleasures like fishing trips, evenings at the casino, and dancing to Zydeco music. He cherished his time spent in his garden and the companionship of his dogs. He loved to share laughter and light-hearted moments with those around him.

Loggis was not just a jokester; he was a beacon of kindness who tirelessly helped those in need. His legacy is one of service, reflecting the love he had for his community and family.

He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Perry; sons, Haven (Nadia) Sampy, Harry (Jasmin) Perry, Loggis (Tiffany) Perry, and Brandon Perry; daughter, Trisha (Debbie) Sampy; brothers, Patrick (Melissa) Sampy, Sr. and Dary (Louanna) Sampy, Sr.; sister, Linda Bruno; and his 9 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Loggis Sampy, Sr. and Yola Session Sampy; and his brother, Joseph Dalton Sampy, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Haven Sampy, Jr., Harry Perry, Loggis Perry, John Patrick Sampy, Jr., John Haven Sampy, Sr., and Trisha Sampy.
