Lonnie J. Myers

New Iberia - Private services will be held for the immediate family of Lonnie J. Myers, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in New Iberia. A memorial mass will be held for family and friends at a later date. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Lonnie Jude Myers was born on September 3, 1953 to the late Lilly Richard and Antoine Myers, Sr. He owned and operated L and G Trucking Company for many years, and also worked for Axis Compressor Services. Mr. Myers enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed. Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Bertha Terrell Myers; daughters, Trisha Tourney and husband Nathan, Marsha Thibodeaux and husband Justin; son, Grant Myers and wife Krysta; sisters, Deborah Myers Vice and husband Roger, and Patricia Myers Boudoin and husband Curtis Joe; brother, Antoine Myers, Jr.; grandchildren, Connor Tourney, Avery Tourney, Callen Tourney, Katelyn Myers, Parker Myers, Logan Thibodeaux, and Adley Thibodeaux; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Myers LaRive; sister-in-law, Janet Myers; a niece, Pam LaRive Benoit; and a nephew, Timothy LaRive. Memorial contributions may be made in Lonnie's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
