Loretta Taylor Calais

Cecilia A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Monday, January 20, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Loretta Taylor Calais, 73, who passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11 am until 10 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7 am until 12:45 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Ken Soignier at 7 pm on Sunday. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Clifford Roberts and Toni Dueitt. Gift Bearers will be her six granddaughters. Music will be provided by Maegan Berard and Laura Huval. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Cecilia. Loretta was retired from the St. Martin Parish School System, after working as a custodian for 27 years. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother, who enjoyed raising her family. She loved vacationing with her family, keeping up with her friends on Facebook and visiting the Pellerin Funeral Home website on a daily basis. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Calais Sr.; her daughter, Penny Calais; four sons, Keith Calais and wife, Rachel, Robert Calais, Jr. and wife, Kelli, Ronnie Calais and wife, Hope, and Chad Calais and wife, Sasha; her brother, Kennon Hebert and wife, Vicky; her sister-in-law, Mary Taylor;12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Taylor; her mother, Mathilde Hebert; her brother, Gerald Taylor; and her sister, Melba Guidry. Pallbearers will be Keith Calais, Robert Calais, Jr., Ronnie Calais, Chad Calais, Cort Calais, and Kade Calais. Honorary pallbearers will be Kennon Hebert, Kyle Taylor, Christopher Calais, Cameron Calais, and Tayler Savoy.
