New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM , Monday, April 11, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Lorraine Marie Jackson, 83, who passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery . Born on August 6, 1927 in Jeanerette, Mrs. Jackson is the daughter of Ovide and Linda Verret Oubre. An avid reader, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Harry Jackson, Sr. of New Iberia ; sons, Johnny Jackson and wife Quida of New Iberia, Bill Jackson and wife Sandy of Houston, Texas; daughters, Pat Moore and husband George of Martinez, California, Kathy Browning and companion David Lapeyrouse of New Iberia , Sherry Himel and husband Dr. Tim Himel of New Iberia; sister, Linda LeJeune of New Iberia; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Oubre; sister, Hazel Cestia; son-in-law, Glenn Browning; and a nephew, Jim Oubre.Pallbearers will be John Jackson, Jason Theriot, Thomas Himel, David Pharr, Kenny LeJeune, and Marty LeJeune. ;A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM .
