Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, November 6, 2023 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church, for Lou Anna A. Duplechin, 79, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Monday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
 
A rosary will be prayed by Cheryl Guidry at 9:30 AM on Monday. 

Rev. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Vicki Andrus. Gift bearers will be Sarah Landry, Tammy Duplechin and Dana Duplechin.

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery. 

Lou Anna was born on November 25, 1943, in Arnaudville. She dedicated her life to caring for others, as she worked in the healthcare industry for many years. Her loving and gentle nature touched the lives of many patients throughout her career. She had a genuine empathy for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

In her free time, Lou Anna enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved having cup of coffee and cherishing moments spent with her family and friends. She valued their company and created a legacy of love and laughter that will be honored and treasured. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, David (Dana) Duplechin, James (Ranna) Duplechin, John (Peggy) "Brant" Duplechin, Sarah (Danny) Landry, and Tammy Duplechin; sister, Peggy Chautin; grandchildren, Cody Wiltz, Brock (Grace) Duplechin, Rhett Duplechin, Sonia (Josh) Hebert, Daniel Landry, Carissa (Johnny) Guilbeau, Carlis (Gabrielle) Colon, Jr., Courtney (Cody) Kidder, Christopher Duplechin, Hanna Duplechin, Ashyton (Daulton) Rittenhouse, Bella Duplechin, and Joyce Martin; 15 great grandchildren; and her special godchild, Vicki Andrus.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents Austin and Catherine Taylor Arnaud; husband, John Ray Duplechin; and her brothers, Russell Arnaud and Austin Arnaud, Jr.
 
Pallbearers will be John "Brant" Duplechin, James Duplechin, Brock Duplechin, Rhett Duplechin, Danny Landry, and Ricky Chautin.

Honorary pallbearer will be her son, David Duplechin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home, Dr. Elliot and Nurse Practitioner, Gabe Robin, for the excellent care given to Lou Anna. We are forever grateful.
