Louella, affectionately known as, Lou Lou, was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on January 27th, 1944, to Elmire and Aymar Broussard.   Sadly, Lou’s mother passed shortly after her birth and she would travel at only 3 days old to her new home in Freeport, Texas with her aunt and uncle, Albert and Edmae Landry, who would adopt her, give her the Landry name and raise her as their own child.  The family would later move back to New Iberia where Lou would remain.

Lou worked for many years in the finance industry.  She would form many lifelong friendships along the way.  Throughout her life she enjoyed many activities such as softball, gardening, playing guitar and singing, but most especially fishing.  She took pride in keeping an immaculate lawn and could always be seen doing something outside to make her home picture perfect.

Lou never met a stranger, was always ready to help where needed and loved with her whole heart.  Her outgoing personality was something to be truly loved and admired.  So many loved her, and she loved so many.

She is survived by one brother, John Broussard, and his wife Gloria.  Also, by many nieces and nephews who will miss her tremendously.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnn Landry Bayard, and Betty Landry Bonnecaze.  Also, by her brothers, Clarence (CL) Broussard, Tilden Broussard and Wade Broussard and sisters Dot Broussard Prince, Doris Broussard Bruce and an infant sister, Vernice Broussard.
