Lydia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, for Louis W. Boutte, 64, who passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Grand Marais.
Entombment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.
Rev. Gregory Chauvin will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM Tuesday.
Mr. Boutte was born on December 28, 1951 in Jeanerette to Louis Gabriel Boutte and Mary Ethel Granger Boutte, and was a 1969 graduate of F.M. Boley High School. He retired from the North American Salt Mine with 30 years of service and was a member of the Holy Name Society. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, Mr. Boutte always enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Susan Olivier Boutte of Grand Marais; daughter, Katrina Boutte of Grand Marais; sons, Michael Boutte and wife Michelle of Zachary, Martin Boutte of Grand Marais; sisters, Velma Guillory and husband Lincoln of New Iberia, Diane Boutte of Grand Marais, Mary Martina Boutte of Grand Marais; grandchildren, Delaney Boutte, Kelci Boutte, Makayla Boutte, Monique Boutte, Cooper Boutte, Julian Boutte; great grandchild, Cohen Joseph; godchildren, Agatha Gradney, Richard Boutte, Jr., Meghan Rhine, and Noah Polk.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Valerie Boutte; and brothers, Joseph Martin Boutte, John Wilfred Boutte; his wifes parents, Earl and Almina Olivier; and his brothers-in-law, Norman Boutte, Steven Olivier, and Michael Olivier.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Delahoussaye, Jr., Leonard Olivier, Troy Olivier, James Boo-Boo Olivier, Russell T-Boy Collins, and John Francis.
