Louise Wright

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Cecilia, for Louise Lastrapes Wright, 81, who passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Rev. Michael Arnaud, Pastor of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church in New Iberia, will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Louise was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who cared deeply for her family. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alvin J. Wright of Arnaudville; her son, Franklin "Randy" Wright of Baton Rouge; her daughter, Kathleen 'Kathy' Wright Ortego and her husband, Karl, of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Sarah Ortego and her fianc, Andr Broussard, and Jaime Colonel and her husband, Mike; and two great grandchildren, Jaida and Andriana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Bernadette Blanchard Lastrapes; and her sister, Camille Faye Lastrapes. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Cecilia from 10:00 am until 11:45 am on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Mike Colonel, Andr Broussard, Glen Robin, Vernon Robin, Lee Verret, and David LaHaye. Honorary pallbearers will be Floyd Kidder and Ken Miller. The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks and appreciation to her special friends, Mary Ellen Thomas and Genevieve Reed, for their compassionate care.
