Loula Mae Bergeron

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Loula Mae Bergeron, 77, who passed away at Ochsner's Hospital in Lafayette on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.

Fr. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.

Loula Mae was born on May 13, 1945, to Dorsey and Alexita Courville Bergeron, she has three children, Charlene, Elizabeth and David. She lived most of her life in Henderson. She was a long-time police officer of the Henderson Police Department and a jailer with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office.

She is survived by her children, Charlene C. Schexnider, Elizabeth C. Enloe (Peyton), and David Champagne (Gina); grandchildren, Jade M. Guidry (Tiffany), Dorsey Broussard, Alex Guidry Rodriguez (Jonathan), Maria B. Hayes (Brandon), Gabrielle Broussard, and Shanna Champagne; great grandchildren, Ayden Ngo, Christopher Rodriguez, Klaire Hayes, Carter Rodriguez, Hayden Leger, and Noah Guidry; sisters, Burline B Scrantz and Jeanette B. Blanchard; and a host of nieces, nephews, and her great friend, Robert Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Alexita Courville Bergeron; and her sister, Shirley Hayes.

Pallbearers will be David Champagne, Jade Guidry, Dorsey Broussard, Brandon Hayes, Peyton Enloe, and Jonathan Rodriguez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Warren Hayes and Robert Grove.

A special thank you to Maria for always being there to love and care for Granny. To Warren and Robert for always being there when she needed anything and to Grace Home Health nurses and doctors and Ochsner's Hospital in Breaux Bridge and Lafayette for the excellent care that was provided to her.
