Loula Mae Guidry

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia for Loula Mae Guidry, 78, who passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 9:45 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Keenan Allemond and Andrea Guidry. Gift Bearers will be Burt and Renella Guidry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Loula Mae was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and faithfully attended Mass daily. She was a prayer warrior who prayed the Rosary weekly with her Rosary Group. She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society, Come Lord Jesus Group, and was also a member of Al-Anon. Loula Mae was a wonderful cook and baker who enjoyed preparing meals and treats for her family and friends to enjoy. As a pastime, she enjoyed arts and crafts. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Carey Guidry; two sons, Rohde Guidry (Bertha) and Shawn Guidry (Renee); three daughters, Ronna Guidry, Dawn Allemond (Alex), and Keri Lanerie (Corie); brother, Burt Guidry (Renella); sister, Doris Patin (Earl); 13 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Paige Guidry; parents, Ivan and Birdie Marie Guidry; sister, Billie Ann Guidry Myers; brother, Errol Guidry; two grandchildren, Brandon Jude Guidry and Baby Brooke Guidry; maternal grandparents, Missis and Joseph Dupuis; and paternal grandparents, Loretta and Julien Guidry.
