Loyce Theriot Thomas

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in St. Martinville, for Loyce Ann Theriot Thomas, 71, who passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday and continue at 8:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday. Pastor Earl Lowry will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Loyce was a member of Christ Gospel Church. As a pastime she enjoyed gardening and painting. Loyce loved spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. She is survived by her son, John Lasseigne of Crosby, TX; two daughters, Anne Valadez of Parks and Gina Lasseigne Tindell of Jeffersonville, IN; three brothers, Larry Theriot and wife, Laura, of Parks, Ronald Theriot and wife, Maxine, of St. Martinville, and Ames Theriot and wife, Connie, of St. Martinville; three sisters, Irmalene Gaudet and husband, Dennis, of St. Martinville, Gale Bonin and husband, Perry, of New Iberia, and Joan Broussard and husband, Carl, of Youngsville; five grandchildren, David and Matthew Hunt of Jeffersonville, IN, Chase Valadez of Lafayette, Alecia Bowden of Houston, TX, and Ean Lasseigne of Crosby, TX; and four great grandchildren, Priscilla Walston-Hunt, Jenevieve Hunt, Abigail Bowden, and Timothy T.J. Bowden, Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Luda Bernis Theriot; and her son, David Lasseigne.
