Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, May 9, 2016, at St. Bernard Catholic Church's Borel Center in Breaux Bridge, for Lucille Latiolais Castille, 84, who passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Fr. Brian Webre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Gaynel Castille. Gift bearers will be her two daughters. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Lucille was retired from CenturyLink, where she worked as a service representative for many years. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church and a member of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, and traveling. Lucille was a great Nana to her three grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Percy John Castille; her daughters, Jennifer Castille of Lafayette, and Janet Lahasky and husband Dr. Ronald Lahasky of Erath; three grandchildren, whom she adored, Joshua Lahasky, Jordan Lahasky, and Ann Marie Lahasky; her nieces, Winona L. Bernard of Lafayette, Sandra L. Grant of Grapevine, TX, Melanie L. LeBlanc of Lafayette, Bonnie B. Chase of Cypress, TX, Lucille Latiolais of California, and Barbara Ann Latiolais of California; and her nephews, Aubrey C. "Buddy" LeBlanc of Lafayette, Nolan B. Begnaud of Youngsville, and Burney J. Latiolais, Jr. of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by parents, Alfred J. and Lucille Guidry Latiolais; brothers, Danny Latiolais, Chester Latiolais, and Burney J. Latiolais, Sr.; and her sisters, Hazel L. Begnaud and Pearl L. LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Joshua Lahasky, Jordan Lahasky, Aubrey C. "Buddy" LeBlanc, Nolan B. Begnaud, Burney J. Latiolais Jr., and Dr. Ronald Lahasky. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Chitty, Harris Champagne, and Harold Burge. The Castille family would like to extend their appreciation to her sitters, Patra Daugereau, Jackie Hebert, and longtime sitter, Susan Gibson, for the excellent care they provided. A very special thank you goes to Dr. Ronald Lahasky, her son-in-law, who took extra special care of her. The family would also like to thank Eastridge Nursing Home for helping to keep her well cared for in her final days and to Lamm Family Hospice for their guidance and support. Memorial donations may be made in her name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Alzheimer's Association.
