Lyndon Craig Applewhite

August 17, 1942 — June 7, 2016

Breaux Bridge, LA - Lyndon Craig Applewhite, 73, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Lyndon honorably served his country in the United States Army and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam during his enlistment. He attended the University of Houston, where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Architecture. After serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers he returned to his home-state of Texas, where he built homes, developed numerous properties, and raised cattle. He will be greatly missed by all of his close friends and family. He is survived by many loving friends and his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by father, Thomas Jefferson Applewhite; his mother, Anne Ruth Sanders Applewhite; and his brother, Thomas Gerald Applewhite. Memorial donations may be made in Lyndons name to any veterans organization of your choice. A private service with inurnment will be held at a later date at his family's cemetery in Magnolia, Texas.
