Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., on Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Mabel Talley Wyatt, 85, who passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Opelousas General Medical Center. Rev. Clint Trahan will officiate at the funeral Mass and Deacon Tim Ledet will serve as concelebrant. Scriptures will be read by Talor Wyatt Wright and Geri Farley. Gifts will be presented to the Altar by her grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Mrs. Wyatt was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a member of the Widows of the Teche. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved cooking for them as well. She treasured the many memorable moments spent with her family, while crabbing along the coastal waters of South Louisiana. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, and will be sadly missed by them all. Survivors include three sons, Elliotte Wyatt and his wife, Cathy, of Rayne, Judge Robert L. Wyatt and his wife, Kit, of Lake Charles, and Kenneth Wyatt and his wife, Regina, of Arnaudville; her brother-in-law, Kaiser Dupuis of Henderson; eight grandchildren, Shawne Luken, Esther Huval, Jeramie Wyatt, Zachary Wyatt, Hope Wyatt, Talor Wyatt Wright, Kendi Wyatt, and Laila Wyatt; two great grandchildren, Koby Coppen and Evie Grace Huval. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, Adley Joseph Wyatt; her parents, Zachary and Ozea Serrette Talley; three sisters, Shirley Montet and husband, Abel, Claire Dupuis, and Sylvia Usie and husband, Sidney. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Jeramie, Zachary, Isaac, Justin, Dwayne, and Eddie. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
