Mable P. Brasseaux

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia to honor the life of Mable P. Brasseaux, 90, who passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at her residence.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Wednesday from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 am on Wednesday morning.

Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Macie Rivera and Elizabeth Pourciaux. Gift bearers will be Sophia Henry and Candid Bruno.

Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mable was born on June 13, 1935, in Breaux Bridge.

Mable was a devoted homemaker, pouring her heart into her family and creating a loving environment for all who entered her home. She found joy in the simplest of pleasures-watching the hummingbirds and squirrels in yard. Mable cherished the time spent going on pilgrimages with her church community and creating lasting memories camping on the houseboat and the camper, always with a smile on her face and love in her heart.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Donny Brasseaux; son, Patrick Brasseaux (Vange Guidry); grandchildren, Joshua Brasseaux, Sky Brasseaux, Avery Wiltz, Paxton Lee Wiltz, Nya Wiltz, Candid Bruno (Robert) and Terry Hargrave; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Brasseaux (Sophia Henry), Macie Brasseaux Rivera (Steven), Kashtyn Brasseaux, Gaige Hargrave, Alayna Hargrave, Jazlyn Hargrave, Romeo Phrommabouth and Chloe Phrommabouth; and great-great-grandchild, Heath Rivera.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie Pourciaux and Emeranthe Dupuis Pourciaux; brothers, Dallas Pourciaux and Andres Pourciaux; and granddaughter, Ashley Brasseaux.

Pallbearers will be Roddy Pourciaux, Joshua Brasseaux, Michael Pourciaux, Gabriel Brasseaux, Kashtyn Brasseaux, and Steve Allemond.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Sky Brasseaux and Patrick Brasseaux.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Hope Hospice, especially Lexi and Desiree' and also to Mike and Liz Pourciaux.
