Mable Lucy Dural

Cecilia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mable Lucy Dural, 80, who passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Readers will be Kristen Pierce and Hillary Pierce. Gift Bearers will be her great-grandchildren. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia. Mable was a former member of The Ladies Auxiliary St. Peter Clavier #242 and received the Martin Luther King Service Award. She was an usher at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and participated in various community activities. Mable enjoyed her family and friends and supported them in their time of need. She enjoyed taking Casino trips, gardening and raising her farm animals. She is survived by her sons, Joseph G. (Joyce) Dural, Sr. and Harry L. (Chandra) Dural Sr.; her daughters, Alvertha D. Pierce and Rita Dural; sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; her aunt, Mazel Singleton; her uncle, Sam Mouton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elvoida Mouton Broussard; her husband, Chestley C. Dural; her son, Chester Dural; her sister, Emily Harris; and her brothers, Paul Broussard, Sr. and Henry Broussard, Sr. Pallbearers will be Dedric Barras, Johnny Broussard, Harry Dural, Jr., Chestley Noel, Brett Dural, and Shawn Dural. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Dural, Harry Dural, Sr., Sam Mouton, Jessie Guillory, Kenneth Broussard, Nortly Broussard, Jules Edwards, III, Sylvester Chapital, and Rodrick Rogers.
