Malcolm Joseph Landry, Sr.

Cecilia- Malcolm Joseph Landry, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at the age of 77 at St. Joseph Hospice-The Carpenter House.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Sunday.

A cremation will follow, per Malcolm's wishes.

Malcolm lived a life filled with adventure and dedication, primarily as a commercial fisherman, where he spent countless hours on the water.

Malcolm was not just a fisherman; he was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, and was proud to serve for many years as the President of the Lake Berard Hunting Club. He also enjoyed the excitement of casino trips and took great joy in cooking for his family. He be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Katherine Miller Landry; his children, Lambert Landry (Mandy), Shane Landry, Angel Landry, Malcolm Landry, Jr. and Hannah Babineaux (Demontreal); siblings, Charles Foster (Beth), Cecile Angelle (Ronnie), and Lisa Foster; grandchildren, Blake Landry, Drake Landry, Dylan Landry, Lake Landry, Blaine Richard, Lane Richard, Chase Landry, Shayla Landry, Maxon Landry, Kynli Landry, and Saige Babineaux; great-grandchildren, Baylen Richard and Bristol Landry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude LeBlanc Lalonde; father, Lambert Landry; step father, Wilfred Lalonde; infant daughter, Kayla Landry; brother, Dwight Landry; and son-in-law, Christopher Richard.
