St. Martinville A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Malvina Mallery Wiltz, 79. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday, at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 201 Gary St., St. Martinville, LA 70582. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am on Friday. Rev. Stanley Jawa will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Constance Touchet, Carletta Adams, and Monica Wiltz. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville. A loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Malvina Wiltz was born on June 20, 1934 to the late George Mallery, Sr. and Ophelia Dauphine Mallery. She passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She was a housewife for most of her life. She cared for her children and grandchildren and always made sure if anyone came to visit she would make sure they were fed. All her life she loved cooking, cleaning, watching the soap operas, dressing up in the prettiest clothes, and most of all spending time with her family. We all loved her dearly and will cherish each moment we shared with her. She leaves to carry on her legacy, five daughters; Minister Eleria Barber (Carroll) of Houston, TX, Linda Neveu, Ruby Pierre (James), all of St. Martinville, Evelyn Bourdeau (Ted) of Lafayette, and Antonia Alexander (Paul) of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Lincoln Wiltz, Jr. of St. Martinville, and Alvin Wiltz (Maxine) of Lafayette; five sisters, Augustine Morris, Antoinette Francis, Mary Ann Wiltz, all of St. Martinville, Rita Mae Batiste of New Orleans, and Flora Bell Pierre of Santa Monica, CA; three brothers, George Mallery of St. Martinville, Zervin Mallery of Lafayette, and Warren Mallery of New Iberia; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lincoln Wiltz, Sr.; her parents, George Mallery, Sr. and Ophelia Dauphine Mallery; her son, Felton Wiltz; son-in-law, Carl Neveu; three sisters, Rosa Mae Francis, Florena James, and Mary Lou Wiltz; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Jamal James, Roland Andrews, Carlin James, Byron Wiltz, Ronald Francois, and Arthur James, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Lincoln Wiltz, Jr., Warren Mallery, George Mallery, Alvin Wiltz, Zervin Mallery, and Paul Alexander.
