Marc Antony Pisano, 58, passed away at his residence in Carencro, LA. Antony, as he was called by family, was born on December 27, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA to Dr. Joseph R. and Jeanne (Babore) Pisano.
He grew up in Newton Square, PA and attended St. Anastasia School and Cardinal O'Hara High School. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's University (Philadelphia) where he earned a BA in marketing. After graduation, he worked as a logistics management coordinator and civilian employee for the US Navy where he procured parts for the F-14 fighter jet, and subsequently as a marketing/logistics coordinator for several technology companies in the Philadelphia area.
In later years, Antony's love of the outdoors led him to start his own business in lawn and landscape management and, after moving to Louisiana, to work in the lawn and garden department at Lowes in Carencro.
Antony had a heart of gold and a truly generous spirit. He was an avid conversationalist who "never met a stranger". Antony had a true passion for animals - always rescuing or adopting "just one more" cat. Throughout his life there was always a dog or cat by his side, and even his prized horse, "Joey". Antony was an outdoor enthusiast with a vast knowledge of plants and gardening which he acquired from his father and, while indoors, he enjoyed Italian cooking using the treasured recipes and skills he learned from his Mother.
Antony was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Joseph R. and Jeanne B. Pisano.
He is survived by his brother Joseph Pisano (wife Aukje) of Sunset, LA; sister Michele Pisano of Louisville, KY; niece Victoria Nicole Pisano of Sunset, LA; and nephew Antony Joseph Pisano of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; as well as by his aunts and cousins in the greater Philadelphia area.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held in the Philadelphia area at a later date.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
