Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, July 4, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge in Breaux Bridge, for Marcel J. Knott, 60, who passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
Sheriff Ronny Theriot will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Marcel was a giving and caring man who had a profound love for his family. He was a skilled craftsman and artist who loved to build model ships and doll houses and draw. Marcel was an intellectual and philosophical man who gave good sound advice to his family and friends and instilled valuable morals into his children. His talents werent only limited to woodworking and art, he was also a talented writer, especially with poetry. Marcel was a huge fan of science fiction, loved playing war commander, and was a member of IB. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his father, Grover Angelle (Bertha); daughters, Brandy Knott Dupuis (Grant), and Marla Knott; son, Brody Knott (Ashley); brothers, Aaron Knott (Theresa), Jason Knott (Missy), and John Angelle (Taylor); sisters, Mary Knott Landry and Vickie Angelle Courville (Terry); grandchildren, Collin, Cooper and Carter Dupuis, Drake and Audrey Champagne, Camdyn Hebert, Marissa and Brooke Noel, and Avery Rose Knott; his special friend, Jamie Delor; his niece Alaina Hebert; his step brother, Jimmie Angelle; his step sisters, Tina McKnight and Bonnie Abernathy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shirley Melancon Angelle; biological father, Samuel Knott; maternal grandparents, Lina and Bertha Melancon; paternal grandparents, Irene and Maurice Knott.
Pallbearers will be Brody, Aaron and Jason Knott, John Angelle, Grant Dupuis, Terry Courville, Allen Gerard, and John Terry Quebedeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Collin Dupuis, Drake Champagne, Brock Myers, and all of his nieces and nephews.
