Cecilia A Memorial Service will be held at 4 pm on Friday, March 7, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Marcie Dauphine, 31, who passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia from 10 am until 3:45 pm on Friday.
Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the Memorial Mass.
Marcie was a 2000 graduate of Cecilia High School, 2004 graduate of University of Louisiana - Lafayette, and received her Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2008. She served the public in many ways working for C.P.S in Arizona and V.O.A. in Lafayette, at the time of her death.
She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, fiance, friend, aunt and mother. A free-spirit, joyful, patient, thoughtful, and a hard worker, Marcie leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories in the minds of all those souls whose lives she touched. Everyone that met her had nothing but positive things to say about her and her love of life. She had a radiant energy that even though she is gone will be felt eternally by all those who were blessed to cross her path.
Survivors include her parents, Glenwood James Dauphine and Carole Melancon Dauphine; her sister, Dr. Jeanne Theriot and her husband, Shane; her nephews and niece, Jonah, Zachary, Kaleb, Elijah, and Josie Theriot; her paternal grandfather, Leroy Dauphine; her loving and devoted, fianc, Elliott Thibodeaux, and his children, Jacob, Jackson, and Karlie; her aunts, Connie Dauphine and Donna Bergeron; and her uncle, Dwayne Dauphine.
Marcie was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Lula Mae Dauphine; and her maternal grandparents, Harold and Laura Melancon.
