Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Marian was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mimi. Despite her large family, Marian always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and the ability to make people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went and loved to love on people. She was well respected within her community and was devoted to her family and friends. She was always willing to help anyone in need and never wanted to be the center of attention. Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32-"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ." She was the vice president of the loan department at St. Martin Bank for 44 years. Marian was a member of the St. Joseph's Choir, Parks American Ladies' Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, St. Joseph's Lay Ministers, Lioness Club of St. Martinville, and the St. Joseph Altar Society. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Maurice "Bud" Roy; six daughters, Pamela (Mike) DeBlanc, Charlotte Roy, Phyllis Roy, Kathryn (Mark) Thibodeaux, Donna (Craig) Latiolais, and Roxanne Roy; ten grandchildren, Amanda DeBlanc, Father Michael DeBlanc, Blake (Jenna) DeBlanc, Ashley (Kyle) Roy, Cody (Jessica) Thibodeaux, Dylan (Jaimee) Thibodeaux, Miguel (Lauren) Latiolais, Joshua (Tyler) Latiolais, Zachary (Kalli) Latiolais, and Gabrielle (Dakota) Latiolais; three great-grandchildren, Faellan Thibodeaux, Ruthie Thibodeaux, and Brinley Latiolais. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ledell and Elodie LeBlanc Huval; and six siblings, Etta "Pita" Champagne, Sidney Huval, Clarence Huval, Florena "Flo" Roy, Lena Katsoulis, and Steve Huval. Pallbearers will be Blake DeBlanc, Cody Thibodeaux, Dylan Thibodeaux, Miguel Latiolais, Joshua Latiolais, and Zachary Latiolais. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike DeBlanc, Mark Thibodeaux, Craig Latiolais, and Dakota Broussard. Family would like to extend special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, especially Allison Champagne, Carol Jackson, Steve Landry, and her caregiver, Cynthia Lindon, for their care and comfort to Marian and her family.
