Marie Derouen Gallet

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026, for Marie Derouen Gallet, 85, who passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville.

Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.

Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm.

A longtime resident of New Iberia, Marie Derouen Gallet was born in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana on May 29, 1940, to the late Andrew and Agglia Penn Derouen. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Gallet is survived by sons, David Gallet and Dexter Gallet; siblings, Edgar Derouen (Teresa), Agglia “Sis” Gagneaux, Charlie Derouen, and Juliana Derouen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pierre Dallas Gallet; and brothers, Paulfrey Derouen, Clifford Derouen, and Andrew Derouen.
