Marie Louise "Molly" Savoy Thibodeaux

March 13, 1923 — December 16, 2013

Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Marie Louise Molly Savoy Thibodeaux, 90, who passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at St Martin Hospital. The family requests that visitation hours be observed from 4 pm until 8:30 pm on Wednesday, and continue at 8 am until 10 am on Thursday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Arlene and Brittany Thibodeaux. Gift Bearers will be Tallie Cummings, Sasha Hebert, and Morgan Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Scott Thibodeaux, Neal Thibodeaux, Dylan Thibodeaux, Whitney Savoy, Jacob Pourciaux, and Gunner Reed. Honorary pallbearers Wayne and Larry Savoy. Molly, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, worked for Trappeys Food Services for a number of yeras and then for the St. Martin Parish School Board, as an attendant for the handicapped on school bus routes, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed working in her yard, camping, playing Bingo, cooking, but she most especially loved spending time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Fred Alan (Virginia) Thibodeaux, Glenn Paul (Vivian) Thibodeaux, and O'Neil (Arlene) Thibodeaux; five grandchildren, Tallie Cummings, Sasha Hebert, Brittany Thibodeaux, Morgan Thibodeaux, and Scott Thibodeaux; and six great grandchildren, Dylan Thibodeaux, Jacob Pourciaux, Jade Pourciaux, Gunner Reed, Jena Delahoussaye, and Mason Hebert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Thibodeaux; her parents, Hypolite Savoy and Marie Louise Deroselle; four brothers, Marcel Savoy, Iphis Savoy, Palmer Savoy, and Bernard Savoy; five sisters, Alma Savoy LeBlanc, Lillian Savoy Gullo, Betty Savoy Comeaux, Lucy Savoy Devillier, and Sister Germaine Savoy; and one grandson, Chad Paul Thibodeaux. Her family would like to extend special thanks to, Drs. Debra Durham and Agostino Ingraldi, and the staffs of St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab and St. Martin Hospital, for the constant care and attention given to her over the years.
