Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Marshall Paul Thibodeaux, 87, who passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 8:30 am until 10:30 am on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am on Thursday. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Michelle Higginbotham, Andre Melancon and Tammy Thibodeaux. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Marshall honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was an animal lover and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his son, Charlie J. Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; his daughter, Patricia Thibodeaux and her husband, Ray of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Wilton Thibodeaux of Parks; his sisters, Hazel Thibodeaux and Lulla Mae T. Lasseigne both of Parks; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandson. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Frederick Thibodeaux; his parents Alexie and Eunice Barras Thibodeaux; his brother, Lloyd Thibodeaux, and his sister, Emmaline T. Guidry. Pallbearers will be Ray Thibodeaux, Charles Thibodeaux, Mike Thibodeaux, Ove Frederick, Shawn Higginbotham, and Wilton Thibodeaux.
