St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Monday, June 27, 2016, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Martha Jane Leon, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville from 8:00 am until time of service. Rev. Michael Sucharski will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Martha was a member of the ARC of St. Martin and the Civitan Club. She enjoyed reading, coloring, watching soap operas, going to crawfish boils, playing Bingo, going to the casino, and shopping. She is survived by her siblings, Ronald Leon, Rose Granville, and Angela Leon, all of Houston, TX; nieces, Latoya Leon, Teena Leon, Kaswana Leon, and Shawana Leon; nephews, Joseph Broussard Leon, II, Alvin Davis, John Granville, Jr., Scottie Granville, and Walter Leon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Broussard Leon and Hilda Clements Leon; and her brothers, Warren and Walter Leon. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
