Marty was a Tow Boat Captain and employed by Settoon Towing; he truly loved driving on the river, it was definitely his calling. His happy place. On the boat he was known as "Captain Marty" however, did not allow them to call him anything but just Marty. He and his co-workers were a family and truly enjoyed learning from the best. Marty took great pride in his job and it showed, is vessel was a model for the company. Photography was a hobby in which Marty himself did not realize was so appreciated until his posts on the computer brought comments and likes, that was his validation. Sunrises and sunsets were his favorite, they were truly the most magnificent we all had the pleasure seeing. Marty also adored and loved his children, grandchildren and let's not forget the four legged children Lucy and Sutton. Some of his other interests included, cooking and eating anything seafood, Marty could down a pound of crawfish in less than 5 minutes, National Geographic, restoration on cars, and of course Andy Griffith. He had a special love for horses as well, he owned and trained horses earlier in his life, he could watch horse racing 24/7. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, crabbing, working out, and being outdoors. Marty was a very caring, loving man who would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone. His laugh was infectious, he loved making people smile, he should have done stand up on the side I told him several times. Marty never met a stranger. Marty will truly and deeply be missed by myself as well as many family members and friends. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Brignac Wyatt; daughters, Maegon Fischer and Alexandra Lee; sons, David B. Richard and girlfriend Kayla M. White, Jeremy Blackburn and wife Ashlei, and James Matthew Blackburn and girlfriend Lauren D'Antonio; mother, Kathleen Wyatt; brothers, Derk Wyatt and wife Rhonda, Scott Wyatt and wife Tina, and Gary "Guy" Wyatt and wife Debra; grandchildren, Avery Grace, Stella Rose, Ava and Amber Richard, Sloane Elisabeth, Tatem Christopher and Brinlee Denise Blackburn; nieces and nephews, Cody, Declan, Saxon, Jasmin, Grace, Jared, and Kaylyn Wyatt, Shana Frederick and husband Luke, and Candis Melancon and husband Kasey; and great nephews, Jalen, Owen, and Ethan.
