Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, for Mary Ann "Mae" Ledet, 71, who passed away on October 4, 2026, at her residence.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 7:00 AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be prayed by Octavia Ann Ledet at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Father Michael Eninlejie will officiate at the funeral service. Readers will be Octavia Ann Ledet and Katina Demouchette.

Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Cecilia.

Mary Ann Ledet, affectionately known as "Mae" was born May 28, 1955, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Eunice Demouchette and Albert Lewis. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a woman whose love for her family and her faith in God were at the heart of who she was. On October 4. 2026, she entered into the loving arms of God.

Mae resided in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, where she spent many years working in the crawfish industry. She was a hardworking women who took pride in providing for and caring for the people she loved. Her greatest joy was her family.

Mae's relationship with God was deeply important to her. She believed in the power of prayer and continually desired to grow closer to God. Her faith was a source of comfort, strength, and guidance throughout her life. She loved her family deeply and wanted those around her to know the importance of prayer and keeping God at the center of their lives.

In her quiet moments, Mae enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and shopping online, especially for spiritual items that reflected her love of God and her faith. She also had a special love for music, with Michael Jackson being her favorite artist to listen to.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Randy Ledet (LeKeisha) and Robert Ledet (Teira); four grandchildren: Ke' Oka Ledet, Aleaha Ledet, Nya Sylvester and Kennday Ledet; two great-grandchildren, who brought even more joy into her life; and one sister, Doris Ann Jean Batiste.

Mae was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Lewis; mother, Eunice Demouchette; her life long partner, Noah John; one daughter, Margo Ledet; four brothers, James, Frank, Weston, and John Demouchette; and three sisters, Agnes Lewis, Rena Boyd and Louisiana Demouchette.

Pallbearers will be Randy Ledet, Justin Ledet, Johnathan Demouchet, Katina Demouchet, Kenneday Demouchet, Timothy Broussard and Justin Ledet.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Ledet, Timothy Ledet, Malcolm Jean Batiste, Tony Jean Batiste, Damon Ames's and Craig Demouchette.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
