Mary 'Bettye' Broussard

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, June 10, 2016, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Mary "Bettye" Elizabeth Broussard, 75, who passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 am until 9:30 am on Friday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Friday. Rev. Rusty Richard will officiate at the Memorial Service. Readers will be Phyllis Boumans and Glenn Oubre. Gift bearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchild. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Bettye loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing Pokeno with her friends. Bettye will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Murdock and husband Michael "Moss", and Juliette Bonin and husband Jeffrey, Sr.; her son, David Broussard and wife Michelle; grandchildren, Tiffany Plessella and husband Chris, Ty Murdock, Luke Broussard, and Jeffrey Bonin, Jr.; a great grandchild, Myrelle Plessella; her sisters, Phyllis Boumans and Elaine Oubre and husband Glenn; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Thomas, Rosalie Dor, and Marshaline Landry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Duchamp Thomas; her husband, Russell Broussard; a grandchild, Joshua Bonin; her sister, Marion Barras; and her brother, Donald Thomas.
