Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 7, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 East Pinhook Rd, Lafayette, LA, for Mary Lou Robin Broussard, 96, who passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Reverend M. Keith LaBove will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Melanie Broussard Graybill and Laura Broussard. Gift Bearers will be John and Pat Vania. Mrs. Broussard was a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lafayette . Mary Lou loved gardening and worked diligently in her yard, which consisted of 3 acres, to maintain its beauty - it was hard-work, but she loved every minute of it. She was also a wonderful cook and seamstress. She was devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her sons, Dennis Broussard and his wife, Peggy, and Kenneth Broussard and his wife, Denise, all of Lafayette; her grandchildren, John Broussard and his wife, Meegan, Melanie Broussard Graybill and her husband, Jeffrey, and Laura Broussard; and her great grandson, Jordan Broussard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry M. Broussard; her parents, Edward and Edna Crouchet Robin; her brother, Joseph Edward Robin, Jr.; her sister, Edna Mae Waguespack; and a niece, Suzanne Hooks. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Patrick Catholic Church beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday until time of service. Pallbearers will be John Broussard, Jordan Broussard, Glenn Waguespack, Wynn Murphy, Sammy Broussard, and Jeffrey Graybill. Pellerin Funeral Home (337.332.2111) is in charge of arrangements.
