Mary Ann Delaughter

Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mary Ann Bergeron Delaughter, 78, who passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 am until 10:15 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Reverend Neil Pettit will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Mary enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and cleaning her house. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Special thanks to her niece, Marie and her husband, Jessie, for caring for Mary Ann at her time of need. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Gerald Delaughter; niece, Marie Stelly and husband Jessie; brothers, Gaston Bergeron, Jr. and wife Diane, and Anthony Bergeron and wife Doris; sister, Bertha Guidry and husband Alvin; grandchildren, Justin Maurice Delaughter and Joshua Jude Delaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Roy Delaughter; father, Gaston Bergeron, Sr.; mother, Corine Bergeron; brothers, Edwin Bergeron, Clement Bergeron, sisters, Ruby Campbell, Della Mae Bourque; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Ann Savoie Delaughter. Pallbearers will be Gerald Delaughter, Justin Maurice Delaughter, Joshua Jude Delaughter, Jason Stelly Sr., Jason Stelly Jr., and Jessie Thibodeaux.
