Mary Lou Landry Duhon

New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Mary Lou Landry Duhon, 68, who passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue on Wednesday at 8:00 am until 9:30 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Billie Segura and Jodi Lynn Segura. Gift Bearers will be Billie Segura and Lane Segura. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in New Iberia. Mary was a dedicated caregiver and loved serving the people through the Council on Aging service. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her plants, and going shopping. Mary treasured the times spent with her grandchildren. She is survived her mother, Marie Carmelette Simon Landry; son, Troy Pepper and wife, Kasey; three daughters, Suzette Couvillier and husband, Howard, Paulette Pepper and boyfriend, Robert, and Karen Pepper, all of New Iberia; three brothers, Alfred Nuges Landry and wife, Betty, of Cade, Jimmy Simon and companion, Kim, of Youngsville, and Christopher Landry of New Iberia; her sister, Katherine Logan and husband, Randy, of New Iberia; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Nuges Alfred Landry; her sister, Betty Lou Landry Louviere; a niece, Edwina Landry Segura; and a great niece, Russelle Marie Landry. Pallbearers will be Troy Pepper, Alfred Nuges Landry, Jimmy Simon, Christopher Landry, Robert Deslatte, and Howard Couvillier. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry, Shane, Jean, Chad, Mark, and JR Reaux.
