New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM , Monday, May 9, 2011 , at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Mary Hebert Hayes, 89, who passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in New Iberia . Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate. Born on July 14, 1921 in New Iberia , Mrs. Hayes loved animals, cooking, and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of the Iberia Humane Society, and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Catholic. Survivors include her son, Thomas D. Hayes of Lafayette ; brother, Paul R. Hebert andwife Nita of Milton; brother-in-law, Lee T. Kleinpeter, Sr. of New Iberia ; sisters-in-law, Doralisse LeBlanc Hebert of Jeanerette, Mildred LeCompte Hebert of New Iberia . She was preceded in death by her husband, P.D. 'Blue' Hayes; parents, J.W. 'Bill' and May Derouen Hebert; sister, Billie Hebert Kleinpeter; brothers, Carlye J. Hebert, Sr., and Francis F. Hebert. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 9:30 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd , in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Monday.
