A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 24 at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge honoring the life of Mary Lou Melancon LeBlanc, 79, of Parks, who passed away at her home on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, surrounded by her family.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 am until 10:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the memorial service.
Mary was the beloved wife of 62 years of Ariel "A.J." LeBlanc. She was a caring and gentle woman who enjoyed needlepoint, reading, and cooking for her family. Above all, she cherished time with her family, most especially her granddaughters and great grandson, who meant the world to her.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ariel A.J. LeBlanc; her daughter, Mona Beckett; her granddaughters, Carli Beckett Simpson and Lisa Beckett; her great grandson, Ethan Hulin; her sister, Mrs. Linda Champagne; and her brothers, Jason and Darrell Melancon.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lilia Melancon, and her brothers Louis Jr., James, Linsey Paul, and Carroll Melancon.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge, 211 Berard St., is in charge of arrangements.
