BreauxBridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Friday, March 30, 2012, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Louise Thibodeaux Pea, 73, who passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Martin Hospital. Rev. Donald Pelous will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Audrey Thibodeaux and Lydia Lozano. Gift Bearers will be Elaine Johnson, Sandie Thibodeaux, and Shalynn Laviolette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mary was an avid reader and also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and sewing. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family and their needs. She loved preparing for the holidays, most especially Thanksgiving, which was her favorite holiday. She is survived by her husband, Teodora Pea, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; her son, Teodoro Pea, III and his wife, Natalie, Breaux Bridge; three daughters, Paula Prejean and her husband, John, of Arnaudville, Pamela Ardoin and her husband, Scott, of Lafayette, and Sharon Schexnaider and her husband, James, of Baton Rouge; her brother, Wilson Thibodeaux and his wife, Audrey, of Breaux Bridge; her sister in law, Elaine Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Matthew Prejean, of Arnaudville. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alcee and Therese LeBlanc Thibodeaux; and two brothers, Percy and Wilbert Thibodeaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Thursday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:30 am on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Andrew J. Prejean, Albert Pea, Matthew J. Prejean, James Schexnaider, Dirk J. Thibodeaux, Paul Galvan. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Thibodeaux, William LeBlanc, Ricky Thibodeaux, and Russell 'Pee Wee' LeBlanc. The family would like to extend special thanks to Elaine Johnson and Earline Sonnier, and Drs. Stelly and Lugo, for their constant care, compassion, and assistance during her illness.
