Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Friday, December 6, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Janice Domingue Vice, 72, who passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:30 am until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue at 7:00 am until 12:30 pm on Friday, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday.
Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ren Angelle and Katelyn Gomez. Gift Bearers will be Laura Steele, Connie Champagne, and Hayden Vice. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mary was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved spending time visiting with her family and friends. She was a sports enthusiast who loved watching the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Braves. Mary also enjoyed fishing and loved to go dancing.
She is survived by her husband, Elphege Vice, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; five sons, Dale (Paulette) Vice, Sr. of Breaux Bridge, Lonnie (Karen) Vice, Sr. of Humble, TX, Jody (Yvonne) Vice, Sr. of Duson, Jude (Allison) Vice of Ossun, and Jordy (Emma) Vice of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Jada (Ren) Angelle of Breaux Bridge; one brother, Preston Domingue of Lafayette; 14 grandchildren, Brandy Guidry, John Vice, Jr., Eric Vice, Lonnie Vice, Jr., Dylan Vice, Jody Vice, Jr., Amber Vice, Alanie Vice, Katelyn Gomez, Megan Gomez, Colleen Angelle, Hayden Vice, Rilee Vice, and Kinlee Vice; and 9 great grandchildren, Bailey Vice, Layla Guidry, Chelsea Guidry, Samuel Vice, Chloe Vice, Grace Vice, Jayce Cormier, Colt Breaux and Madelyn Guidry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Laurence Babin Domingue; her sister and brother-in-law, Elise and Septime Lasseigne; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Domingue; and daughter-in-law, Nicole Vice.
Pallbearers will be John Vice, Jr., Eric Vice, Lonnie Vice, Jr., Luke Lasseigne, Gerry Lasseigne, and Jody Vice, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Vice, Charles Thibodeaux, Leroy Frederick, and Preston Domingue.
