Breaux Bridge - Funeral Service will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mary Etta Wyche, 88, who passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014, at St. Martin Hospital. Rev. Leroy Banks, will officiate at the Funeral Service. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Bethlehem Baptist Church located at 617 Latiolais St., Breaux Bridge from 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday, February 8. 2014. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mary enjoyed cooking for family gatherings, babysitting everyones children, gardening, canning figs and spending time with family and friends. Mary was known by the congregation as the Mother of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons - Sidney Wyche, Clyde (Rhona) Wyche and Willis Wyche all of Breaux Bridge; her daughters - Iona Wyche of Breaux Bridge, Lillian (Harold, Sr.) Pickney of Port Arthur, Geraldine Wyche of Breaux Bridge, and Arlene Wyche of Carencro; her brother - William Scott of Bunkie; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Ceary Scott; her husband, John Wyche; her sons, Lester Fifer and James Wyche; her daughter, Lou LeBlanc; and her brother, Albert Scott. Pallbearers will be Clyde D. Wyche, Harold Pickney Jr., Arsenio Wyche, Xxavier A. Dartez, Clarence Wyche and Michael Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon LeBlanc, Dale Scott, Harold Pickney Sr., and Clarence Wyche Jr.. Pellerin Funeral Home, (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
