Mavis O. Fruge'

Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church honoring the life of Mavis O. Fruge', 83, who passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at her residence.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville on Tuesday from 7:30 am until 12:30 pm.

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Tuesday morning.

Father Brian Taylor will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Marissa Tabb and Jennifer Callier. Gift bearers will be Tina Olivier and Caitlyn Vancourt.

Burial will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Mavis was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, joy, and cherished memories.

Mavis lived a life filled with love and laughter. She was known for her vibrant personality and her passion for life. She loved going dancing, listening to French music and she was always the life of every gathering, infusing joy wherever she went. She looked forward and cherished Saturday mornings spent drinking coffee with her family. Mavis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Fruge' (Lisa) and Terry Fruge' (Nancy); daughter, Debra Fruge'; brother, Boyd Olivier (Girly), Rogers Olivier (Georgie) and Vernon Olivier (Tina); brothers-in-law, Kermit Barbier and Lawrence Lemarie; sister, Vivian Aymond (Andrew); grandchildren, Jude Soileau (Tiffany), Justin Soileau (Laney), Courtney Soileau, Kyla Rivette (Adam), Caleb Fruge' (Luke), Marissa Tabb (Dylan), Myles Fruge' (Jayce) and Shannon Bergeron (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Graycee, Emeri, Jolee, Eli, Jason, Wyatt, Denni, Brinleigh, Madi, Camille, Linnix, Anna, Ave, Elliot, Emersyn, Kaleb and Kynleigh; and godchildren, Brent Aymond, Jennifer Callier and Francine Guidroz.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, James Fruge'; parents, Jerome Olivier, Sr. and Amelia Marie Stelly Olivier; brother, Jerome Olivier; and sisters, Rhena Barbier and Nancy Lamarie.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Fruge', Terry Fruge', Caleb Fruge', Myles Fruge', Jude Soileau and Justin Soileau.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Soileau and Jason Soileau.
