Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for May Broussard LeBlanc, 98, of Parks, who died on Tuesday, Apri l9, 2011 at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. LeBlanc worked at Gary Memorial Hospital ( St. Martin Hospital ), as a cafeteria technician in the dietary department for many years. She was a wonderful seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family and friends. May worked hard all of her life and she loved to cut her grass and work in her yard. Survivors include one son, Robert 'Bob Allen' LeBlanc and his wife, Charleen; one daughter, Jean LeBlanc Duhon and her husband, Jerry, all of Parks; one brother, William 'Tom' Broussard and his wife, Stella, of Cecilia; two sisters, Ivy Lou Richard, of Port Arthur, TX, and Louella 'Poulet' Baudoin, of Groves, TX; six grandchildren, David Duhon, and Mark Duhon, both of Parks, Julie Guidry, of Cecilia, Michelle Guidry, Nicole Robin, and Danielle Wyatt, all of Parks; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clay S. LeBlanc; her parents, William 'Willie' and Martha Guidry Broussard; six brothers, Percy, Larkin, Andrew, Irving, Ivan, and Howard 'Pete' Broussard, Sr.; and two sisters, Beulah Deshotel and Alice Frederick. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Jerry Duhon, Bob LeBlanc, Terry Frederick, Jerry Frederick, David Duhon, Joe Don Guidry, and William 'Tom' Broussard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
