Mazel Dwyer

St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 22, 2025 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church honoring the life of Mazel Champagne Dwyer, 95, who passed away on July 26, 2025. Mazel leaves behind a beautiful legacy not only with her family but beyond.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville on Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 8:15 AM on Friday.

Rev. Michael Vidrine will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Phyllis Marks and Linda Viator. Gift bearers will be Adaline Capak and Ricki Oliver.

Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Costas; grandchildren, Roxanna Oliver, Patrick Dwyer, Erica (Josh) Capak and Rick (Julie) Costas; great-grandchildren, Adaline, Caroline (Aaron), Bradley, Owen, Dustin (Virginia), Lauren (John) and Ricki Oliver; great great grandchildren Elle, Hadley, Landon and Ryan; sister, Elise Verrett.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert "Pat" Dwyer; son, Eric Dwyer; parents, Oleus and Elise Gauthier Champagne; brothers, Harris Champagne, Harold Champagne, Oleus Champagne, Howard Champagne, Earl Champagne, Edward Champagne and Linden Champagne; sisters, Maudrey Landry, Verna Guidry and Emma Lou Serrett.

Urnbearer will be Owen Oliver.
