New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Medora Vincent Dore, 79, who passed away on the 25 day, May, 2014 at 7:20 a.m.
Reverend Mark Derise, Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Paulette Broussard and her husband, Jennings of Broussard, Linda Dore of Broussard, Elaine McDonald of Broussard and Rosanne Lalande and her husband, Patrick of Maurice; one son, Daniel Dore and his wife, Geralyn Gerri of Broussard; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one brother, Leeward Vincent of Port Neches, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson P. Dore; her parents, one granddaughter, one great granddaughter, five sisters and three brothers.
Medora was born on November 5, 1934 in Leroy, Louisiana and lived in New Iberia for over sixty years. She was a devout member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was retired from working as a bookkeeper for United Way of New Iberia for thirty-three years.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and attending daily mass.
Pallbearers will be Grant Broussard, KT McDonald, Shawn Lalande, Zack McDonald, Shaney Dore, and Tyler Frederick.

Pellerin Funeral Home of New Iberia is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
