Breaux Bridge – A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, July  2, 2022, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge, for Melissa Faye Cormier, 57, who passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 12:00 pm until  8:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, and continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until time of service.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Friday.

Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will conduct the service.

Interment will follow at St. Bernard No. 2.

Melissa is survived by her son, Trey (Kendra) Cormier; grandchildren, Adelyn Cormier, Avery Cormier, and Jayce Cormier; and brothers, Gene (Lisa) Fontenot, Jon (Mitzi) Fontenot, and Jared Fontenot.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rodney Fontenot; mother, Melba Cormier Fontenot; brother, Jo Jo Fontenot; and maternal grandparents, Evans and Duella "Noon" Cormier.
