Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Melvin Anthony Usie, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at his residence. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Fr. Lawrence Abarl will conduct the services. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve Marie Wiltz Usie of Lafayette ; his son, Glenn Paul Usie (Delania) of Carencro; his daughter, Bonnie Suzanne Usie of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Yates Michael and Joshua James Usie; and his great grandchildren, Alysa Ann Usie and Skylar Kay Usie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norton and Juanita Benoit Usie; and his son Bert Joseph Usie. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Pallbearers will be Glenn Usie, Scott Duett, Yates Usie, Richard LeBlanc, Joshua Usie and Earl Patin.
