Mercedes Cormier Belaire

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Mercedes Cormier Belaire, 76, who passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 am until 10:45 am at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be recited at 9:30 am on Saturday. Rev. Michael Delcambre, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, will conduct the services. Scriptures will be read by Shawne Huval Taylor and Ricky Huval. Gift Bearers will be Catherine Miller Roy and Genevieve Genny Roy. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. She is survived by her sons, James "Jim" Belaire and Jerry Belaire; her daughters, Marella Belaire Begnaud and husband, Patrick, and Isabelle Belaire Huval and husband, Carroll; her grandchildren, Stephanie Begnaud, Lyle Patrick Begnaud and wife, Anita, and Ashlyn Paige Huval; her niece, Catherine Miller Roy and husband, Lester; and a great niece, Genevieve Genny Roy. She is preceded in death by her father, Jean Cormier, mother, Mathilda Bergeron Cormier, brother, Ray Cormier, and sister, Genevieve Cormier Miller. Pallbearers will be Jerry Belaire, Patrick Begnaud, Jr., Lyle Begnaud, Carroll Huval, Lester Roy, and Alvin Miller.
