Mr. Broussard was born in Ville Platte, Louisiana on February 26, 1956, to the late Darrel and Myra Auzenne Broussard. Michael's life was filled with joy, love, and a deep connection to his family and friends. He led a fulfilling career as Maintenance Supervisor at CVD Ceramics before retiring. Outside of work, Michael had a passion for the outdoors that knew no bounds. Hunting and fishing were more than just pastimes; they were invigorating adventures that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature. Whether it was pursuing game or casting a line into calm waters, these activities brought him immense joy and tranquility. However, what truly defined Michael's spirit was his unwavering devotion to his family. His love for them was unending and showed in every action and word. He prioritized spending time with his children and grandchildren, and cherished the moments they shared together. Michael found great delight in playing cards and engaging in friendly competition with family and friends. These lively gatherings created lasting memories that will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to be part of them.

Mr. Broussard is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Janice Edgar Broussard; daughters, Bobbie Vaughn (Caley) of New Iberia, and Dawn Neil (Jonathan) of Youngsville; grandchildren, Joshua Vaughn, Kourtlyn Vaughn, Julianne Neil, and Easton Neil; godchildren, Lauren Broussard of Broussard, and Chase Louviere of Richland, WA; sisters, Sandra Broussard of Broussard, and Peggy Broussard-Huval (Joseph) of New Iberia; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Broussard.

Honorary pallbearers are Caley Vaughn, Allen Edgar, Sr., Joshua Huval, Joseph Huval, Daniel Edgar, and Bervin St. Andre.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the hunting groups for always taking such good care of Michael over the years; and an extra special thanks to Gerard and Belinda Olivier for all the love and care up until his final days.

Michael's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
