Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at New Beginning Fellowship Church in Breaux Bridge, for Mildred Treadway Alesich, 75, who passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 2:15 pm on Wednesday at New Beginning Fellowship Church, 519 Parkway Drive, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517.
Pastor Kenny Talbot will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Mildred was a mighty woman of God, who loved her family, friends and others. She loved reading her Bible and attending church at New Beginning Fellowship. She was a worship leader for 10 years and a womens ministry leader for 15 years. She taught Sunday school for 10 years, volunteered at the food pantry at church and at the nursing home ministry. Mildred also loved gardening, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be sadly missed, but she is with her Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marion Alesich, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Melissa Marie Gainey of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Marion "Puggy" (Michele) Alesich of Carencro, and Morris Dale Alesich of Breaux Bridge; two sisters, Mary Ellen (Sidney) Gandy of Sealy, TX, and Margie A. Treadway of Port Sulphur; five grandchildren, Summer Langley, Brandon R. Gainey, Joshua J. Alesich, Megan L. Alesich, and Michelle Howington; and four great grandchildren, Rayden Harveston, Sayerd Grace Harveston, Cayman Harveston, and McKenna Grace Alesich.
She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Beatrice Martin Treadway; and her sister, Margaret Wilson Howington.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Morris Dale Alesich and Marion Puggy Alesich, her grandsons, Joshua Alesich and Brandon Gainey, and her nephews, Cory Treadway and Frankie Howington.
