Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville, for Mildred Millie Bergeron, 81, who passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Baylor Medical Care System in Dallas, Texas.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fr. Allen Breaux, will conduct the services. Her sisters will serve as gift bearers.
Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Millie enjoyed crafts, sewing, helping people and providing them with guidance. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney Bergeron, Jr. of Johnson City, TX, Wayne Bergeron and his partner, Wyatt of Garland, TX, Robert Bergeron and Ricky Bergeron both of Dallas, TX; her daughters, Dee Dee Shexnayder and her husband, Keith and Mona Kidder and her husband, Kenneth Kidder, Sr. all of Arnaudville; her sisters, Jackie Duplechin (Charles) of Arnaudville and Ann K. Guilbeau of Opelousas; her grandchildren, Mandy, Kenny, Chris, Jordan and Jonathan; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Irene Olivier Knott; her husband, Rodney Bergeron, Sr.; her brothers, Donald and Samuel Knott; and her sister, Anna Lou Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Bergeron, Wayne Bergeron, Chris Thibodeaux, Kenneth Kidder, Jr., Jordan Bergeron and Jonathan Bergeron.
Honorary pallbearer will be Charles Duplechin, Jr.
Donation may be made in Millies name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St., Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503-3240.
