Mildred Ann Boyd

Breaux Bridge – The family will host a Memorial Mass at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Mildred Ann Boyd.

Mildred was born and raised in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, where she was daughter to the late Mitchell Allen Boyd and Edmira Boyd.

Mildred was a very determined and resilient person with an adventurous spirit. She moved away from Louisiana 23 years ago and has lived all over the country, ultimately settling in Manhattan, New York, where she passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Although saddened by her passing, her family is relieved that she is at peace.

She is survived by her daughters, Shanna Boyd, Ashley Leger (Jeremy) and Tamra Boyd (Tyrone); brothers, Clarence Boyd and Peter Boyd (Virginia); sisters, Rita Boyd Melancon (Jose’) and Hilda Boyd; grandchildren, Kaleb LeBlanc (Genny), Collin LeBlanc (Kennedi), Kennedie LeBlanc, Wyatt Leger and Olivia Leger; great-grandchildren, Liam LeBlanc and Leif LeBlanc; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Edmira St. Julien Boyd; sister, Octavia Boyd; and brothers, Alton Boyd, Allen Boyd, Jr. and Harrison Boyd.

 Honorary Pallbearers will be Kirk Melancon, Kendall Melancon, Kory Melancon, Kaleb LeBlanc, Collin LeBlanc and Brandon Melancon.
